An adventurous introduction to big mountain expeditions, you'll learn the climbing skills and techniques used in modern alpine mountaineering and earn the opportunity to climb several beautiful peaks in the heart of the Alaska Range. Fortunately, Alberta is also well rounded and has sport and trad rock climbing a-plenty. The entire Cascade range is full of alpine adventure, with much rock and ice in the North Cascades. Many world famous peaks and tough ascents are located within the boundaries of the park. S. Marcy, at 5,344' is the highest - but the weather is capricious and runs the extremes. Alberta is also famous for some of the best ice climbing in the world. Alpine Endeavors is an AMGA Accredited guide service offering guided climbs and instruction for rock climbing & ice climbing in NY's Gunks, Shawangunks (authorized for Mohonk Preserve, Peter's Kill, Minnewaska State Park and Sky Top), Catskills and Adirondacks. A certain number are available on a first-come first-served basis on the day of the hike, if you don't mind starting late.
